RESPECTFUL ENTRY: Lockpicking & Bypass

Respectful Entry teaches you how to bypass locks and security measures when you cannot destroy the lock or the door, or need to covertly enter a building.
In this 8-hour, hands-on course, you’ll learn:
The basic parts of a lock
How to defeat pin-tumbler locks
Defeating various generations of combination locks
How to defeat 90% of perimeter gates
Alternative methods of bypass when lock-picking fails
Tools to enter in seconds
How to bypass mechanical and electronic security devices
Understand the current laws surrounding accessing controlled and restricted property
The best tools for picking locks
You’ll practice picking the newest and most common locks in class.
With these skills, you’ll get back on the road faster, with fewer citizen complaints about property damage and injuries from kicking open doors.
Cost: $185
Prerequisite: Students who are full-time, commissioned peace officers, reserve, or act under the umbrella of a law enforcement agency are automatically eligible for attendance. Anyone not within these groups should contact us at training@trainpsa.org for direct approval. Students will be provided with all the tools necessary to complete the course and toolkits will be available for purchase at the class.

Dress Code: Comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes are recommended to allow for participation in many physical training exercises.
